State - Local Partnerships

California Arts Council (CAC)

The California Arts Council is a state agency with a mission to advance California through the arts and creativity. The agency encourages widespread public participation in the arts; helps build strong arts organizations at the local level; assists with the professional development of arts leaders; promotes awareness of the value of the arts; and directly support arts program for children and communities. The Fresno Arts Council is the local arts agency representing Fresno County under the auspices of CAC.

County of Fresno

The County of Fresno and the Fresno Arts Council are proud to announce their collaboration showcasing the work of local artists on the County website – an unprecedented government website partnership. The County’s website will feature works of local artists on an ongoing basis. The art will be photographic or fine art and will depict perspectives unique to the individual artist.

City of Fresno

The City of Fresno provides the Fresno Arts Council in-kind support through the generous office use of one of the City's building. On November 2009, representatives from the FAC Board of Directors met with Mayor Ashley Swearingen to discuss the future of the relationship between FAC and the City.

Creative Fresno (CF)

The Fresno Arts Council is a partner of Creative Fresno in the promotion of creative and arts-focused initiative in Fresno. Creative Fresno (CF) is a non-profit organization that uses creative thinking to create a quality sense of place. CF supports the role of the arts within a vibrant community and embrace innovation, creativity and action to help transform Fresno.

Fresno Coalition of Arts, Science, and History (FCASH)

FCASH is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring the health of the arts and cultural community through advocacy, communication, cooperation and collaboration. FCASH represents coalition members including small, medium and large cultural arts organizations, along with artists, galleries, businesses and individual art enthusiasts. The Fresno Arts Council works with FCASH through the Regional Jobs Initiative Arts Industry Cluster.

Fresno Design Alliance

Fresno Design Alliance (FDA) is a collaboration of professional and student designers devoted to developing Fresno's design awareness. Through community involvement and education the FDA aims to inspire and motivate local businesses and non-profits in their pursuit of quality graphic design.

Socient

Socient is a creative agency based in Fresno that focuses on serving community-benefit and civic organizations with web marketing services. The Fresno Arts Council is a partner with Socient through the local social network FresnoArts.net, which is one of the first local social network based on public-private collaboration.

Fractured Atlas (FA)

Fractured Atlas is a non-profit organization that serves a national community of artists and arts organizations. FA helps artists and arts organizations function more effectively as businesses by providing access to funding, healthcare, education, and more. Through a partnership, Fractured Atlas provides FREE Associate Memberships to Fresno Arts Council members.
