River Park Chalk Walk – Artists Needed

River Park Shopping Center is coordinating an event that showcases Children’s Art this Saturday, May 11th 2013. Part of the event consists of Chalk Art. The theme is “My Fresno”. We will have volunteers present, allowing children of our community express their creativity on the concrete on our event area in River Park. River Park is looking for 1-2 local artists to donate their time to come out and create a chalk art piece, for the children to draw around. Essentially, it will be the starting piece. The Arts Alliance of Three Rivers announces an exciting new project with a call to all visual and literary artists. We are working on plans to publish an anthology of the best art and literature about the southern Sierra. The working title for the anthology is Wonders in Our Backyard, with a target release timing in the fall of 2013.
