ÉSTE ES MI MÉXICO 18TH CHILDREN’S DRAWING CONTEST 2014

The Institute for Mexicans Abroad and famous Mexican painter and sculptor Fernando Andriacci welcome your participation to the annual This is my Mexico Drawing Contest. This year we invite you to create a drawing about “Children’s Rights”, in celebration with the 25th Anniversary of the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The Convention recognizes your right to learn, to be heard, to express an opinion, to fully develop your abilities, among other important matters for your development. The contest is open for children between 7 and 11 years old living in a country other than Mexico (from any nationality).

Draw on a square paper (30cm x 30cm ó 12″x 12″)using brushes, pencils, acrylics, water paints, crayons, or any other drawing technique.

Create a drawing about “Childrens rights”. Get inspired by Mexican painter and sculptor Fernando Andriacci’s work (fernandoandriacci.com)

Sign and date your drawing. Copied or traced drawings will not be taken into consideration. Drawings left unfinished with missing information, exceeding or smaller than indicated measures (30cm x 30cm or 12″X12″) will be disqualified.

Send your drawing directly to the nearest Mexican Embassy or Consulate before the deadline: October 15th, 2014.

Winning drawings will be selected by a jury of specialists in children art.

The award will be a work of art by Mexico’s famous artist, Fernando Andriacci, a package of Mexican literature books for children and a surprise that will soon be defined.

Winners will be announced at IME’s website http://www.ime.gob.mx on November 20th, 2014.
