Overview
The Fresno Arts Council hold ongoing events semi-monthly, which is ArtHop; and other annual events such as the Poetry Out Loud, Fresno Arts Festival, Horizon Awards, and Dining with the Artists. You could check out many arts events throughout Fresno County by visiting our arts calendar at FresnoArts.net.
- ArtHop - a semi-monthly celebration of the arts that happens every first and third Thursdays of each month. From 5pm - 8pm, ArtHop venues open up their space for artists exhibitions and reception to the public for free.
- Poetry Out Loud - Poetry Out Loud is a National Recitation Contest created by the National Endowment for the Arts and Poetry Foundation. The Fresno Arts Council serves as the host for this annual regional competition.
- Horizon Awards - The Fresno Arts Council honors the exceptional contributions of individuals, organizations and businesses with its yearly hosted event.
- Fresno Arts Festival - The Fresno Arts Festival is an outdoor event to celebrate the Arts locally in honor of the statewide California Arts Day. The Fresno Arts Festival usually happens in first week of October.
- Dining With The Artists - Once a year, we put together a dinner fundraising event that honors upcoming and seasoned artists seated together with a sponsor. Last year, we had over 100 people in attendance with over 12 artists honored.

Did you know?
That ArtHop was founded more than 10 years ago by local artists including Chris Sorensen and Frank Arnold. What started as 10 venues has now grown to more than 80.
