Fresno, CA: Fresno Arts Council (FAC), is proud to present the 34th Annual Horizon Awards, hosted by The Tower Theatre in Fresno’s Historic Tower District, during National Arts Month on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Over 200 outstanding Fresno County citizens and organizations have been awarded for their contributions to the arts in the Fresno community since the inaugural event in 1984, which includes awardees like Audra McDonald, Gary Soto, Good Company Players, Fresno State President Dr. Joseph Castro, Hmong American Poet Soul Vang, former City of Fresno Poet Laureate Bryan Medina, and many more. This annual ceremony is just one of the many services and programs provided by the FAC to support and steward arts and cultural activities to positively impact the cultural economy of Fresno County and beyond.

The Annual Horizon Awards recognize nominees in six categories: Artist, Business, Citizen, Educator, President’s and Youth. Nominees can be individuals, organizations or businesses who have made a significant contribution toward the enrichment of life in the Fresno Community through excellence in the arts. This year’s event will be hosted at the Tower Theatre with a catered reception and VIP event for Premier Sponsors.

We look forward to having you join us in honoring artists and supporters of the arts on Oct 24th!
