Dear Friends,

Every year, the best and brightest of the Valley put their talents on display in our Congressional Art Competition. The submissions are in, the students have done great work, and now I need your help!

I have always said this office belongs to the people of the Valley, so this year you will help pick our winner. Students, their families, and constituents will have the opportunity to weigh in on what piece will represent California’s 16th District in Washington.

Since 1982, the Congressional Art Competition has honored the creative talents of more than 650,000 high school students across the nation. The winner receives a trip to DC and has their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

The Art Competition Winner will be announced at a reception on May 10th at 5:30 PM. The exhibit at the Fresno Art Museum is open to the public.

Voting ends on Monday, May 6th at noon. Please feel free to share this with friends and family. Don’t forget to vote! With enough votes, you could help send a talented Valley student and their artwork to Washington.
