Our featured artist will be Terry Ellsworth. He is branching out into a new medium of photography whereby he creatively enhances his images to obscure the obvious and bring about a new perspective on the subject matter. We will also feature work by local artists Valerie Runningwolf, Louie Quijada, Jason Casey, Claudia Fletcher, Robert Silva, Ellen Bayne, Joanne Tragna Foster and Jason Esquivel. Member, Lorraine Peters will exhibit a compelling body of work through the telling of the story which is both an Armenian and Deaf cultural pastime. Together they define the artist and inspire the personal narrative in her work. Events, places and people find their way into her paintings which also include ASL signs, Catholic and Christian symbolism, pop culture, Armenian words, images and icons. In addition, the artist collaborates with Gallery 25 member, Carol Tikijian with an installation called “An Armenian Experience” which examines the past, present, future role and experiences of the Armenian woman.
