Thomas Spears first major exhibition titled “Things Hidden Since The Foundation” will open at 1821 Gallery & Studios thru March 14. Spears’ work is a mixture of oil on wood and canvas as well as some mixed media work. The work is about Prehistory. It is about the relationship between the sacred and the profane, predestination and free will, creation and destruction, consequence and choice, grace and futility. Spears graduated from CSUF in 2011 with a degree in art. He has won the Judges Recognition Award Fall 2010, Spring 2011 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition.

Arte Américas, the Valley’s largest Latino cultural center will debut a new exhibition to coincide with National Women’s History month on Thursday, March 5 featuring thirty-five artists from throughout California. The show is titled “One Degree of Separation: A Sisterhood of California Women Artists” and will fill all four galleries in the Downtown Fresno cultural arts center.
