Altered State by Terry K. Ellsworth
February 13th – 24th, 2015

ArtHop Reception, Thursday, February 19th, 5-8pm
Ellsworth is notable for his large abstract work, cunningly created with mixed media. But did you know that he is also an avid photographer? Not your average point, shoot and print, but creatively enhancing his images to obscure the obvious and bring about a new perspective on the subject matter, which by the way, is all over the place. Busy traveling up and down the valley, Terry has been working on a new series of work that will make you stop and enjoy the moment captured in a unique way.
“As an artist I believe the purpose of the work is to stimulate the imagination of the viewer with sometimes ambiguous imagery.

Come to the Green Office Furnishings gallery throughout February to discover the work of local artist Maries Joseph. Her paintings experiment with the power of color and perception.

Dr. Maries Joseph explains, “Perception of color is very personal and subjective, but its effects are universal. I believe energy from colors has the ability to touch one’s physical, emotional and or spiritual states however brief that effect may last.”
