Public Art Project: Community Garden Murals
The Fresno Arts Council is working with Caltrans and the City of Fresno to select artist/s to create murals for the Community Garden that is underway at McKinley Ave and SR41. FAC is seeking individual artists and/or artist collectives to submit proposals for murals. The final design will be installed on-site on the identified walls.
The proposed concepts and designs should be reflective but not limited to representing the vibrant community of Fresno by blending elements of its landscapes, rich agriculture, iconic community buildings, and diverse cultures. It should highlight the strength of the community coming together to overcome challenges.

Fresno Arts Council invites you to submit your nomination for the City of Fresno's 7th Poet Laureate, who will serve April 2025-March 2027. Submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm on Friday, January 24, 2025. An independent committee will review nominations in February, 2025. Fresno's 6th and current Poet Laureate, Joseph Rios, has served as an ambassador for poetry in our city, and has received additional honors during his tenure, including dedicated poet laureate funding from the Academy of American Poets to create a new Fresno Poets anthology and multi-media educational package. Fresno is home to countless fine poets, including former City of Fresno Poet Laureate, Lee Herrick, who was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to serve as California's 10th Poet Laureate. Arts Alive in Agriculture
Fresno Arts Council seeks submissions for the 12th annual “Arts Alive in Agriculture,” a juried art exhibition, which will be presented Thursday, April 17, 2025 at “The Barn” at the San Joaquin Parkway Trust River Center from 5:30-8:00PM.
“Arts Alive in Agriculture,” a juried art show, is an annual competition that honors the agricultural roots, resources, and traditions of the ethnically diverse communities that produce our food in the Central Valley. The Fresno Arts Council seeks to highlight the Central Valley’s agricultural industry by exhibiting original works of art created by Central Valley based artists for our 12th annual exhibition.
There are cash awards for a “Best in Show” Grand Prize, first and second place, and honorable mention, in each of six categories, and a “Farm Choice” award. View last year's catalog and visit our website to see winning pieces.
The public is invited to join the Fresno Arts Council in recognizing and celebrating, through the unique vision of local artists, the important role that agriculture plays in the Central Valley and in our lives. Moving Tomorrow: Art of Clean Futures Juried Art Exhibition
The FITI 2025 S.T.E.P Summit invites artists to explore and reimagine the beauty of clean transportation and renewable energy. This unique exhibition celebrates the fusion of art and sustainability, showcasing innovative perspectives on eco-friendly technology.
The 2025 Moving Tomorrow: Art of Clean Futures is a juried exhibition dedicated to exploring the future of transportation energy. The event showcases the artistic reflections of innovation in clean energy, including electric vehicles, hydrogen fuel, biofuels, and clean transportation, to inspire awareness and action. Held in Fresno, the heart of California’s transportation and energy transition efforts, this exhibition aims to celebrate creativity while promoting sustainable solutions for a cleaner, greener future.

All registered ArtHop™ venues will receive:
Promotion and listing in all official ArtHop™ marketing, including the printed brochure
(1) vinyl decal featuring the winner of the ArtHop™ 2025 Logo Design Contest by Garrett Wright.
Annual ArtHop™ membership fee is $180.00 for the period of ArtHop™-related art programming occurring between January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
ArtHop™ participation requires a physical location to exhibit artwork,
Brochures will include a complete directory of all participating ArtHop™ venues and will be printed in December 2024 for distribution as early as January 2025.
